What is Mantra?

Protection for the mind.

All thoughts have energy. We manifest what we focus our beliefs and actions on.

But sometimes we develop unhealthy habits or cyclic thinking that has been grooved into our subconscious. In order to change those deeply rooted behaviors and thoughts, Mantra has been used for thousands of years. Today they are called affirmations or suggestions in modern language. But modern every day language mix meanings depending on personal experience.

Ancient Mantra Sanskrit maintains its energetic integrity through thousands of years because it is only for sacred texts and not common language.  Its meaning is not as important as the vibrational protection it offers to stop your mind from wavering or wandering.

Meant to be repeated internally, the mind stays focused and new patterns begin to form in the brain interrupting old self-defeating thoughts and cycles.

With repetition, new positive patterns of thoughts are seeded into the subconscious that empower your goals.

To count, use a mala with 108 beads like a rosary. The main bead is a guru bead to stop and turn around. Count backwards from the guru bead for shorter repetitions.

Many mantras begin with Aum -  or the sound of the universe, intelligence and the creation, preservation and destruction of life and change within ourselves and the world. A mantra begins with Aum to call on our own connection to universal intelligence.

Stacked mantras, one after another, work as compounding energy for your mind-set to develop with more specific goals in mind.

Some mantra effects...

  • Maintain mind on specific thoughts.
  • Develop new healthy patterns in the brain.
  • Create a healing parasympathetic response
  • Receive the wisdom from your higher self
  • Improve concentration
  • Distract yourself from a traumatic memory.
  • Draw knowledge you need to know
